Fire & Water - Cleanup & Restoration

Under Pressure

When rain collects on an old roof (especially traditional shingle roofing), the excessive and constant weight will sometimes form pools that bear down on the structure. This can sometimes result in situations like the one pictured. Water eventually breaches the roof and reaches down into the ceiling, causing bulbous pockets to form; those, of course, tend to burst.

The water technicians at SERVPRO of Hesperia / Apple Valley and SERVPRO of Barstow / Twentynine Palms wasted no time in cleaning up the debris from the water that had seeped through the ceiling. They then cut away a patch of the ceiling space to dry it out and check for mold.
